Demographics have come to define, describe and predict the major social changes in society today, and as marketers and policy makers will attest, the one person responsible for that phenomenon is Dr. David Foot. Since the publication of his phenomenal best-seller, Boom, Bust & Echo, Dr. Foot has almost single-handedly informed, inspired and influenced the public discussion of demographics.
Change can't be avoided, but as any policy maker, manager or entrepreneur knows, it can be anticipated and managed. An award-winning professor at the University of Toronto and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University, Dr. Foot's ability to animate statistical data and make them relevant will enable any organization to understand its past and build a vision for the future. His astute observations, and wry, entertaining style have made him a much sought-after speaker for corporations, associations, community groups and governments. As he tells audiences, demographics aren't just important; they can explain two-thirds of everything—whether the subject is marketing or human resources, or health, social or global trends.
